Bird in Flight and a Squirrel
It seems I was doing a similar thing as a fellow blogger today, sitting outside as still as could be, in the hopes of capturing photographs of wildlife. I was multitasking. As I waited for that perfect photo opportunity, I was listening to my newest audio book — Jodi Picoult’s “Salem Falls”. I listened to several chapters of that audio book before my perseverance paid off.

Two Cardinals; the male in flight

A Squirrel in our Neighbor’s Tree
My fellow blogger’s perseverance paid off as well; she captured the photograph of a blue jay.

I think that's cool how they fold their little hands up to their chest. Ok, they aren't hands. PAWS?
Wonderful closeup pictures! I am amazed at the clarity. What kind of camera do you have? It has to be an SLR with a good telephoto lens. I have an old Pentax K1000 35mm, but everyone has migrated to digital now. So much easier and practical for the average person.
Niagara Anglophile (John) – The camera that I used to take the photographs in this blog post is an Olympus E500 digital SLR. My telephoto lens is 50-200mm.
I love your pictures of animals. I am such an animal lover. That is a red squirrel or pine squirrel. They are the cutest things to watch. They aren't allowed to stay around our house for long. I won't tell you how they disappear. I've been told once they are in your attic, chewing and eating wires, siding and such, they are very hard to get rid of.
I love the picture of the cardinals. They are hard to get pictures of also. Thanks for the linky!!
