We vacationed in Williamsburg, VA, over the Labor Day weekend. On Thursday afternoon (September 3) we drove from Warren, PA, to Stephens City, VA. We spent the night in Stephens City. On Friday we drove from Stephens City to Williamsburg, VA, where we spent 4 nights. While in Williamsburg we visited Colonial Williamsburg on Friday afternoon and on Saturday morning. On Sunday we visited friends in Virginia Beach. On Monday, September 7, we visited Jamestown Settlement.
Jamestown Settlement is a living-history museum that chronicles the history of Jamestown, America’s first permanent English colony. It includes a recreated Powhatan Indian Village, a recreated English Fort (James Fort) and features replicas of the three ships Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery that transported 104 men and boys from England to Jamestown in 1607.
