My Little Brother
I am not an only child. I have one sibling, a brother, who is younger than me. Although Jim’s photograph is undated, I believe it was taken on October 5, 1957, because I found a photograph of me that WAS DATED that date. I assume Mom would have portraits of both of us taken at the same time.

Our first portrait
Although he now towers over me, Jim will always be my little brother.
But not to brothers and sisters.
We know each other as we always were.
We know each other’s hearts.
We share private family jokes.
We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys.
We live outside the touch of time.”

Linda great post. My wife and I were going through old photos ourselves this morning. I just put my link on the skywatch page a few minutes ago about 3:00 pm. I usually will publish my blog on Thursday afternoon then link later in the day on Thursday. However you decide to do it is fine. You have a great post for today so if I were you I would probably wait til tomorrow. The sun is out today
It's so nice to see the early you. You look as though you had a very happy childhood with real smiles! I like the Ortega quote very much.
Be grateful for your brother, Linda. I lost my 'little' 6'10″ brother 19 months ago to lung cancer. I miss him still.Thankfully, I still have a wonderful brother and sister to share memories with.
Thank you Joe. I have lots of blog material from old photos, if only I can find the time to get them edited!Thank you, Mark. I look back on my childhood with fond remembrances. I did indeed have a happy childhood. It's nice to see YOU, too. I noticed your profile picture is much more up close and personal picture than the one in your blog.I'm sorry, Ruth, to hear that your little brother passed away. My brother is tall but not as tall as your little brother. My nephew, on the other hand, might be as tall as your brother was. Jared towers over his father.
You and your brother were so adorable. I really liked the poem too. So true! Have a blessed day. Hugs, Elena
Little brothers remain that way to us even though they sometimes get a bit above us in height! I know because I also have a “little” brother! I enjoyed the pictures and the stories.
Linda,Just catching up with your posts, you've been busy!! lolI've been slackin' and I need to get back into the routine of regular posting again. Going back to work with a 2 1/2 year old doesn't leave much time, lol, I don't know why I thought it would, but I'm slowly getting back into the groove of this mommy thing and hope to be back up and running soon, lol.I'm afraid the pics of the family will have to wait until next year though. Too many of us going different directions in the next couple weeks, but I'm still very interested so don't give up hope just yet, lolJackie
