It’s a Start
I spent part of the day gathering and organizing items for a yard sale that we WILL have this summer. In August our community will hold its annual Trash & Treasure Day. That day is when we WILL hold our yard sale. I am stressing the word “will” because we have discussed having a yard sale in past years but passed up the opportunity.

When Bob came home from work, he carried the rubber totes to the shed.
The totes will be stored there until August.

Bob made three trips from the house to the shed. He carried the heaviest stuff during the last trip. The dumbbell that Bob is carrying in his hand weighs 20lbs. The tote that he is carrying on top of his shoulder weighs more than 20lbs.
I will continue gathering up yard sale items until August. I suspect Bob will be carrying a few more rubber totes to the shed in the months ahead.

I too have been threatening to have a garage sail for years. I need to get things together once the garden is clean! (Wish I had a shed like yours to store stuff in!)
Looks like your on the way for a grand yard sale. Ya just can't beat those rubber totes!God bless ya and have a terrific Tuesday!!!
I keep thinking I will save stuff and have a yard sale, but when I get stuff together that I don't need or want, I tend to want rid of them then and take them to Goodwill.Good luck on accomplishing this much.
Yard Sale Hint #1: Price everything BEFORE you pack it away for the yard sale. Be brutal – the point is to get rid of the stuff, not to make a lot of money. Yard Sale Hint #2: Stock up on bags (from the grocery store). When given a bag, people will buy more because they think they have to fill it. Yard Sale Hint #3: If you are selling clothing, hang it; You can stock up on “wire hangers” from the dry cleaners. Yard Sale Hint #4: Don't bring anything back in the house after the yard sale… donate or toss. Believe me, I KNOW. In getting rid of one household and combining 2 more, we have had to sort through a LOT of junk in the last 12+ years!
That's a good beginning, Linda… I've never had one—but I have been involved with them at my churches through the years. To me, it's alot of work for a tiny bit of money… BUT–maybe you all will do really well… You are doing it the right way though—-a little at a time!!!! That's good!!!! And if nothing else, you will be able to get rid of STUFF… That's a good thing…Hugs,Betsy
Wish I could come to your yard sale. Looks like you'll have lots of items!
Boy that sounds like a great day, Trash and Treasure. I love garage sales!
Linda: You really put Bob through a workout. I hope he wasn't too tired after work.
Yes! Decluttering – my favourite pastime.
