What a beautiful photo, and I like the quote too 🙂
I must say, Linda, that is a nice photo of something that I just hate to have in my yard. A dandelion is pretty to look at, but a big nuisance in the yard. I try to keep them out! However, regardless of the fact, that they are nothing but a weed, the flower is quite colorful.
You really can't get a better “yellow” LOL
Or as a friend of mine says, “A weed is simply a wildflower that we don't like because it's so prolific!” As long as they're not in my garden, I love these dandies! My yard is usually filled with them, but I have to keep the garden soil loose to keep them from taking hold!I do not usually see these beauties so close up! Lovely pic!
Wow – that is a wonderful picture… and quote.
Hi There Linda, I'm trying to catch up today… Will take me forever!!!! ha…. You are going to love your new lens.. I have a 75-300–and enjoy it so much…Love that house at Findley Lake… YES—I could live there too!!!! haGreat up-close picture of the Robin… AND–the Daffodil is so pretty…. BUT–you can keep the Dandelions… We do what we need to do to keep them OUT of our yard.Hope you have a wonderful week.Hugs,Betsy
Oh, Linda, I love how you captured the light just right to get the definition! I always find yellow flowers (and white) difficult to photograph. I wish I could do close ups like this. Incidentally, Dandelions have vitamins A, B's, C, and D, and minerals. They have a medicinal use now supported by recent research. (see Pubmed). Though, I don't take advantage of the medicine cabinet growing in my yard, I take dandelion in capsule form as a substitute for a medication I cannot take.
Very pretty. Mary would love this as she adores dandelions:)
I love Dandies! My husband thinks that this is borderline insane…but I will refrain from mowing to turn the field yellow.
