My friend, Valerie C., and I looked in on the swan family yesterday. The swan family was way across the river (too far away to get good pictures). Other occupants along River Road, though, caught our attention.
After looking in on the swan family, Valerie and I went shopping in Jamestown, NY. We stopped at the Joann Fabrics and Crafts store, where Valerie purchased what looked like a piece of white rope. Valerie is a quilter and will use that “rope” in a quilting project. I enjoyed walking up and down the store aisles while Valerie was shopping. My favorite aisles were the ones containing scrap booking and home decor merchandise.
When we left Joann Fabrics we went to Taco Bell for lunch. I haven’t eaten at Taco Bell in a very long time. I enjoyed a taco salad, while Valerie ate a combo meal (nachos and taco).
After lunch we went to Wegman’s, where Valerie picked up a carrot cake for her husband Michael’s birthday. Michael’s birthday was on Saturday; however, there were no carrot cakes to be found in grocery stores on Mother’s Day weekend in the Warren area. There were plenty of other specialty cakes, but no carrot cakes.
Before returning home we looked in on the swan family one last time. The swan family had moved closer to our side of the river but were still too far away for a good picture.
