Ribfest 2010 – Second Day: The Earthquakers in Concert
Warren held its 7th annual Ribfest this past weekend. The Ribfest is a four-day event. Bob and I attended Ribfest each day, beginning on Thursday afternoon (July 15). We listened to Paul Eisert in concert on Thursday afternoon. On Friday we listened to two Rock-n-Roll concerts. The first concert was the band “Jack the Dog”. The second concert was the band “The Earthquakers”. Yesterday’s blog post showcased the band “Jack the Dog”. This blog post showcases the band “The Earthquakers”.
“The Earthquakers” dress like Amish. The attire is part of the fun. “The Earthquakers” know how to have fun, and they know how to make YOU have fun. “The Earthquakers” have fun rocking and rolling, and boy can they ROCK!!!!

I feel at this point that Isaiah is singing to me. What a feeling!
You may learn more about “The Earthquakers” by clicking here, which will take you to their web site.
If “The Earthquakers” appear in concert near where you live, do not pass up the opportunity to hear them in person. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed!

I went to their web site and they are actually quite good. Their “costumes” belie their talents. Looking at them I never would have expected that sound. I guess they want to look like Quakers that come from working the Earth. Maybe they really are Quakers. Congratulations on getting up close and personal with the lead singer.
@Scott – The word on the street is that The Earthquakers once were in the Amish community but left when given the choice. I can't confirm or deny the word on the street.
I have never heard of the group—but we are so out-of-touch… Sounds like they are GREAT… That's just the type of groups I would LOVE.I'll keep that in mind —if they ever get this way…Thanks for sharing, Linda.Hugs,Betsy
Love festivals. I was at the Laurelville Firemans Festival last weekend and I have a photo nearly identical to your 1st photo. Hope you are having a great week
Linda: Wonderful photos, they should give you a CD for this posting.I think I have that hat for working in the garden.
They look hilarious! What a funny name they came up with for themselves. LOLDi
