Ribfest 2010 – Third Day: the band “Willow Creek”
Warren held its 7th annual Ribfest this past weekend. The Ribfest is a four-day event. Bob and I attended Ribfest each day, beginning on Thursday afternoon (July 15). We listened to Paul Eisert in concert on Thursday afternoon. On Friday we listened to two Rock-n-Roll concerts. The first concert was the band “Jack the Dog”. The second concert was the band “The Earthquakers”. On Saturday we participated in the Thank A Vet Dam Run. When we returned to Betts Park, the site of the Ribfest, we listened to the local country band “Willow Creek” while enjoying the taste of pulled pork sandwiches from Sgt. Oink’s BBQ Co.
The band “Willow Creek” performs today’s country hits. With the exception of lead singer Ron Carrington, Jr., the band has been together for eight years. Ron, a former Warren Idol winner, joined “Willow Creek” in January 2009.

Linda: Really neat shots of the band again. You can get pretty close for these photos.
That ribfest was some party. You know it amazes me that those bands can make any money with all the money they spend on their nice performance attire LOL! Good thing the sound is more important than the look. Have a great weekend.
Great pictures Linda! You do such a great job.
Now that's a group I have heard of… Don't think I've heard them play in person –but I've heard of them… SO glad you got to hear them… Sounds like my kind of music…. That Ribfest is a great event. I'll bet you all go every year, don't you???? Sorry that you aren't getting to go on NY now–but you can do it when it's cooler and maybe after the leaves start turning… wouldn't that be neat?Have a great weekend.Hugs,Betsy
Thank you so much for that great write up! I love playing with Willow Creek its honestly been one of the major highlights in my life, each time we play on stage together feels like the first time! Thanks again Linda! Much love..Ron Carrington of Willow Creek
