On Wednesday, May 11th, we drove from our home in Warren PA to Leeper PA, a distance of approximately 47 miles. Our destination was the Rail 66 Country Trail trailhead. We parked off Route 66 in the Car Mate parking lot next to the trail. From the Leeper trailhead we rode our bicycles, south, to […]

It has been 8 months since I last published a blog post for ”Bicycling the beauty around us”. Our last bicycle ride in 2021 was in September. So far this year we have bicycled in our neighborhood, and we rode our bicycles at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge on Assateague Island in Virginia. We bicycled a […]

Our wedding anniversary was this past Sunday, on September 26th. We decided to take an anniversary trip to Confluence PA, where we spent 3 nights at an Airbnb. We brought our bicycles with us. Around 10:00 am on Monday, September 27th, we left on a bicycle ride. Entry to the Great Allegheny Passage was a […]

We vacationed the week of June 25 through July 2 in Hudson, Ohio. We brought our bicycles with us, intending to bicycle the entire Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park several times during the week. Because of extreme heat and high humidity and rain we ended up riding only a […]

The three of us rode the new Quaker Run Multi-Use Trail (3.2 miles round trip). We didn’t realize that […]

LInda, what a neat park. I love the playground equipment and the cool looking bridges. The Muscovy duck is a great shot. Have a great weekend.
The playground equipment reminds me of what used to be at our boys' elementary school. They have taken all of it out now but that was a flashback. The bridges are really neat.Becky K.
kids will have lots of fun in this park.As for the OLD duck, he sure has plenty of that red globs. We use to have these kind of ducks we reared to eat.
How neat, Linda. Someone was very creative when building that park… I love those two bridges also. One of our lakes near here used to have a fountain in the middle. I loved it and it made the lake look so neat. This year, the fountain is not working.. What a shame. We have a gorgeous, COOL morning up here (64 degrees)… First in a LONG time… yeah!!!!Have a wonderful weekend.Hugs,Betsy
Hi Linda, I too like the side rails on those bridges… very artistic and it looks like a very nice park. Luv the duck! 🙂
What a great park! Someone obviously put some thought into it rather than just throwing steel pipe handrails up. The duck seems to enjoy it too.Darryl and Ruth : )
That is a really cool park! Like you, I really like the various pieces of equipment – and the bridges of course. I really like that bus too!
