Genesee Country Village and Museum – #7
This post continues with details and photographs from our visit in June to the Genesee Country Village and Museum.
We experienced an authentic 1800’s base ball game while at the Genesee Country Village and Museum.

Entrance to Silver Base Ball Park
The entrance to the base ball park was located at the northern end of the Turn of the Century portion of the Historic Village.

I will end this blog post with some of the photographs that I took while watching the base ball game.

I LOVE the uniforms! But can you imagine how hot they must have been?Wow!Cool post.Becky K.
Really good action photos. In response to the question you posed on my blog. Actually that trail is part of a Rails to Trails project. A lot of work still needs to be done
I've enjoyed catching up on your visit to the village and museum. There are many wonderful places I'd like to visit in Pennsylvania, so I'll be back to get more places to add to our list. Thanks for your kind comment on my blog.P.S. The pictures of the baseball game are wonderful.
I've seen a game in really old uniforms too since the city of Douglas here does that every single summer – though not to the extent of the whole field being so old fashioned too!! That looks really cool!
What fun! I love the uniforms, too – strangely elegant.
I'd no idea that these types of uniform were worn so long ago. Interesting how they've stuck with the same basic design.
Linda: Really cool uniforms, I'm not playing bare handed.
OH how neat… Don't you know that those men had a good time —although I'll bet they were HOT in those uniforms… I loved it… I remember those old scoreboards. My Daddy used to sell tickets at our little town's baseball park–and I'd go to the games with him… That's when I learned to love baseball. Thanks for sharing, Linda… LOVED it.Hugs,Betsy
