From the Inside Looking Outside
Is anyone wondering what it looks like in my neck of the woods? No? Yes? It doesn’t matter if you responded yes or no, I will show you anyway 🙂

This is what it looks like through one of my living room windows.

You have had snow for a long time now, right? Did it melt in between or has the ground been white the whole time?
You got more snow than we did Linda, we had about an inch and a lot of that has gone. I enjoyed your photo. Stay warm 🙂
That's about what it looks like here also, Linda.. We probably still have about 6 inches of snow on the ground… And –it's bitterly cold here also. Tonight may be our coldest night yet… I am ready for a change–even though the show is pretty…Hugs,Betsy
Wow, that looks beautiful but very cold!
UGH!I'm ready for Spring! We got about 5 inches the other day, it wouldn't be so bad if the temps were in the 70's with it.
You should call the cops, Linda. Some vandals done went and put scrape marks in the snow pack on your street! We used to have a kid come by with a plow and do the same to our street but i think he may have been abducted by aliens.
We actually got a few minutes of sunshine today! … big hooray!!We don't have as much snow as you do … even bigger hooray!!
You got loaded up too! The snow here in NYC is so dirty that I can hardly stand it. Tomorrow night we go back to the North Fork. The penguin video is terrific. Sent it to my wife who is Design Director of Penguin Books USA. She'll love it !
You and my sister-in-law in New Jersey have sure been inundated this winter! We're finally getting some snow – 8 inches today, but it does not measure up to your snowfall!
A few times, when I was younger, I experienced snows like this. I enjoyed it then and liked to shovel out the drive. I don't know that I would have enjoyed it had it been more than an occasional occurance.
Looks like somebody needs to shovel off that roof before there's an avalanche… Stay warm!
@Becky – In late December warmer temperatures produced a wonderful meltdown. A lot of the snow melted from the two lake effect snow storms that we had earlier in December. I saw green grass for the first time then since early December. On January 5th the snow started again. The grass hasn't reappeared since!
A good time to be looking out from in I'd say…. yikes!!! (Pretty, though!)
Ahh, but it has to be cold to give you such beautiful scenes. It's a great time to sit down with some nice hot cocoa.
What a gorgeous shot! I need to get outside and take a few photos today around our house. Tomorrow we're heading off to Holiday Valley, so I'll have a ton of new photos to share. Hopefully, it'll be better than last time we went there. Hubby Randy tried to snowboard for the first time ever. Now mind you, he's 6 feet tall and about 260+ pounds – a very large man. We ended up in the ER afraid his wrist was broken from one too many falls! NO MORE SNOWBOARDING for him.
Nice one Linda. Wondering if the sun is good enough to melt all that snow..Ram
Glad you at least have some blue sky to go with all that snow. I've just re-read 'The Long Winter' by Laura Ingalls Wilder, and once again am in awe of the courage of the early pioneers in America.
A lot of snow there, Linda! Are you ready for spring yet? Stay warm and safe.
That is a wintry scene. The ground is still almost bare here, but it is supposed to snow tonight.
This does not look like fun. Are you watching the game today?
