The Return of the Woodpecker
It isn’t a good day for photographing birds. The light is dim, so a high ISO is needed if one desires to take a picture without using flash.

You captured such lovely photo. I wonder if kitty keeps an eye on your feeder from inside??
This is a beautiful pic of a downy! We've had both downs and red bellied woodpeckers here much of the winter, but not on a regular basis. I love seeing them and in the spring I love hearing their calls!
Hi Linda, Glad your woodpeckers are back… Hope the Starlings stay AWAY…. We are lucky in that we don't have many. I see one about once a month or so. Thank Goodness. But–we are overrun now with Pine Siskins… They are much better though than Starlings….Hope you are having a great day.Hugs,Betsy
It's a beautiful photo. Great closeup.
Linda what a Beauty. I did get one a few years back and saw them at my feeder this winter when it was cold . I never took a photo. Too cold outside and he was amazing to watch. Thanks for the welcome back. Japan has me frozen in my steps and I find it hard to move forward with my blogging. This was a treat to see. Thanks.
That's a great shot!
You've got a wonderful picture of the woodpecker here.
