Signs of Spring
On my last blog post a reader left the following comment: “… this means that it is officially Spring over where you are, right?” Well, the robin doesn’t mean it is officially Spring here, at least not to me. What means Spring to me are scenes such as these …

We opened our picnic pavilion today and set up the swing.
We’re looking forward to spending many hours during the next several months in our backyard enjoying the pavilion, the campfire and the swing. By the way, see the blue article of clothing hanging over the pavilion banister? That is my blue denim long-sleeve shirt. The temperature warmed up so much today that I stripped down to a t-shirt! I can almost feel Summer!
It doesn’t show in any of the pictures, but the young boy DID catch a couple balls thrown by his grandfather.

Bob’s first motorcycle ride of the season

When Bob came home from his motorcycle ride, he said that he definitely felt the air in his hair!

Wind-blown look

Hi Linda, That boy seemed to enjoy his motorcycle ride. By the way, tell him that he looks great!!!Love your little pavilion… I can see being outside and enjoying the spring/summer out there… SO NICE…… Hugs,Betsy
Love your photos . I would love that swing too. I have one and my cats love it too.Looks so nice there Linda. So much to look forward too.
Nicely put. Spring does indeed means different things to different people. I love birds and flowers, so to me at least, seeing those reappear again signals the beginning of spring. Great blog!Olivia
Signs of Spring in NH – the 3 foot pile of snow (down from 10 feet) (seriously) at the end of the driveway. The need to take down the bird feeders soon because the bears are out of hibernation. [We will miss the goldfinches, especially the males in their mating season plumage.] Red-wing blackbirds' return. And finally, we know Spring is REALLY here when the peep-frogs begin their song – I heard them last week. Cynthia
Great Pix!!!
We've seen quite a few motorcycles over the past couple of weeks, so I guess that means Spring is here. You've got a great place in your back yard to enjoy beautiful weather.

I hardly recognized your blog with out all the white stuff! I'm sure you will spend lots of time out there, I know I would. Have fun!

Beautiful pictures. Glad that the Spring is finally here.
Yesterday here would have been a wonderful day for a ride on a motorcycle…today not so much.Your swing really looks inviting!
Very enjoyable photos Linda, and what a great looking picnic pavilion. I'm sure you and Bob will put it to good use.
Linda – What great pics heralding spring in your corner of PA! That pavilion and swing look like my kind of spot for reading and relaxing. I loved the playing catch photos! PS Bob – wear your helmet!
