Mother’s Day Ride
Bob and I went for a motorcycle ride on Sunday. This was my second motorcycle ride of the season. On my first ride, we rode 65 miles. We rode 135 miles on Sunday. I’m working my way up to a longer ride in July.
We rode to Ellicottville, NY, where we ate lunch at The Gin Mill. We’ve enjoyed a lunch of burgers (and the service) at The Gin Mill in past rides. Yesterday was no different. The burgers and service was great!
From Ellicottville we drove through Allegany State Park and along the Allegheny Reservoir, a ride that we have made numerous times. We made a few photo stops in the park and at Kinzua Dam.

Here’s a daisy that was growing near the covered bridge.
Our last stop before returning home was at Kinzua Dam.
My Mother’s Day was an enjoyable one. I hope that each of you had an enjoyable Mother’s Day as well!

Wow—what a neat way to spend Mother's Day, Linda… Sounds gorgeous–and everything looks so pretty and springy! What are you planning in July????Hugs,Betsy
You got some lovely photo ops there Linda. I haven't been near a dam with roaring water for a few years. Love the sound of it, such is the power of the water.
Love that covered bridge…it is so different to the ones around here. Most of ours are painted red…a few white ones. There maybe one or two that are raw wood, but I don't recall where at.
It looks as if you had a beautiful day for your ride. I think that was a great way to celebrate Mother's Day. Your pictures are wonderful.
Linda, looks like you really had an enjoyable Mother's Day from backyard visitors to motorcycle rides. You got some nice photos to share as well.
The pictures sure show how gorgeous the ride was!
Linda, what a gorgeous place to stop for your lunch. I always loved covered bridges. The photos are beautiful.
Beautiful photos, I love covered bridge 🙂
Love the covered bridge and the rest of it too. I don't think we have even one covered bridge in Utah, but we have some other cool stuff you don't find anywhere else. Glad you had such a nice Mothers' Day.
