Easter Vacation: Old Town Alexandria
Bob and I spent the Easter weekend in Alexandria, Virginia. During our 3-night stay we spent time with family members and visited Old Town Alexandria and Mount Vernon.
Bob, my cousin Vernon, and I visited Old Town Alexandria on Friday, April 6th. We spent most of our time at the waterfront.

I consider the sighting of Osprey the highlight of our visit to Old Town Alexandria. I had never been so close to an osprey nest!

Before leaving the waterfront, we enjoyed a quick snack at Pop’s Ice Cream.

As we drove out of Alexandria, en route my cousin’s home, we passed by the George Washington Masonic Memorial.

Love your osprey photos. The ones in Northern Wisconsin usually nest up in the highlines. I didn't realize they would build a nest so low, and so close to people.

I loved the pictures of the osprey. The one where it is in flight is my favorite! Looks like you had a wonderful time with beautiful weather.
I love those osprey pictures too.
