Weekend Visit in Cuyahoga County, Ohio: Cuyahoga Valley National Park (Post #1)
On Saturday, after a complimentary hot breakfast at our hotel, we drove to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The park spans two Ohio counties: Cuyahoga County and Summit County. Cuyahoga County is in the Cleveland Metropolitan area; Summit County is in the Akron Metropolitan area .
Our first stop in Cuyahoga Valley National Park was at the Boston Store Visitor Center, where we picked up a map of the park and viewed exhibits that told us the story of canal boat building in the Cuyahoga Valley.

See Bob sitting in the rocking chair on the porch?
He is checking out the map of the park that we picked up inside the Visitor Center.

We visited here last year, but didn’t stop at the Visitor Center. I can see we should have done so.
I’m sure that we will learn about places that we should have stopped at inside the park but did not. There is lot to see and do in the park!
For some reason the first picture has a question mark instead. Other wise it looked like a great side trip!!
It appears that WordPress had a glitch, as I can see that first picture now. I couldn’t see it last night either, shortly after you left your comment.
Linda, sounds like the perfect weekend getaway. If this is the same place i am thinking about we walked along the canal trail for a bit. It is a pretty place.
I am so far behind on your blog..I don’t know if I will ever catch up. I seen I had missed a lot earlier and just have been waiting till I had a good block of time…not going to happen, so going to try to start now.
I have to tell you I would love that Boston Store Visitor Center for a house…can’t you just imagine it as a home?
