Weekend Visit in Cuyahoga County, Ohio: Cuyahoga Valley National Park (Post #6)
Our sixth stop in Cuyahoga Valley National Park was at the Everett Road Covered Bridge.
I wanted to take a picture of the bridge from the creek bed; however, there was a wedding party in the creek bed being photographed. I didn’t want to disturb this photo shoot, so I captured photographs only at the same level as the bridge.
This is as good a time as any to point out one of my pet peeves, when photographing landmarks and nature scenes. I hate to see empty soda cans, trash, bottles, etc. lying around. The trash inevitably finds a way to slip into my photograph. See that split rail fence on the left side of the bridge? The post closest to the bridge had two full water bottles sitting on top of it. I suspect the water bottles belonged to the wedding party.

Beautiful bridge, Linda… I love covered bridges. We’ll have to go back to the Cuyahoga area sometime… You did a great job of promoting it…. BUT–you two need to go back sometime yourself when you can see lots of water at Brandywine…. We were there in Sept.

I love the covered bridge. Maybe the people came back for their water bottles. I do hate to see people littering. Great shots and neat trick making the bottles disappear.
I do not understand why people have to leave their trash behind…though my first thought with these is that someone forgot them. Which is a bit different than just throwing them out.
