Bob and I visited Allegany State Park near Salamanca, New York, this past Sunday. We visit the park frequently, as it is within an hour’s drive from our house. My blog posts this week will showcase photographs from all of our visits to Allegany State Park. The subject of today’s blog post is the Stone Tower.
Stone Tower is located the Red House area. The lure of Stone Tower is the panoramic view afforded from its vantage point.
In October 2008 we encountered a dog at Stone Tower. There was no owner in sight.
The panoramic view from Stone Tower is lovely regardless the time of year.
The road to Stone Tower is closed during the Winter months. I would love to take in the view from Stone Tower in the Winter. Perhaps one day I can hitch a ride on a snowmobile 🙂
