First Ride in 2013
Bob came home from work early, taking a half day off. I had this feeling he might come home early, as it is a beautiful day. Bob has been itching to get on his motorcycle.
Within an hour of coming home Bob had taken the motorcycle out of the shed, checked it out physically and mechanically, and was ready to ride.

Although it looks like a warm day, looks can be deceiving.
As I prepare this blog post, it is 49 degrees.
The temperature was a little cooler, when I took this photograph.
Bob should ride in comfort, though, with his leather coat and gloves and new leather chaps.

Off he goes!
Bob always rides solo the first ride of the season. He wants to ensure that the motorcycle handles well before he adds a passenger. I have not ridden much in the past two riding seasons because of a bad knee. I had surgery on that knee in April last year to repair two torn meniscus. The surgery went well; however, it was learned that my knee is riddled with arthritis. I hope that I am able to ride this year.

He looks like he is ready to take off…. He looks GREAT in his leather!!! Hope that kept him warm enough… Hope you will get to ride with him this year.
Hugs,
Betsy
You can’t blame him for wanting to get his first ride of the season in…I hope you get to ride this year, too. Sounds like you have had some painful times.
It does look as if Bob had a great day for this first ride of the year. I hope you will be able to ride with him this season.
After reading your comment, I had to think about just who you were and it finally came to me. You ride just like I did years ago. To remember, we used to ride a 86 Goldwing and pull a trailer. Thanks for commenting. Keep that rubber side down, and the shinny side up! Ride safe.
