The Day Before Thanksgiving

Bob’s cousins — Chris, Amy and David — and Stacey, Harper and June joined us for lunch yesterday.  I prepared a meal of roast beef, potatoes and carrots.  For dessert, we had brownies.  Chris, Amy and David stopped here on their way from Pittsburgh to Chris’s parents’ home in New York.  They still had a 3-hour drive ahead of them, after they left our house.  Yesterday was the first time Chris and family saw our granddaughters in person.  I believe, too, it was the first time Amy met Stacey.  We had an enjoyable time with family, conversation, and food.  Unfortunately, our son-in-law Mike had to work and wasn’t able to join us for lunch.
