New TV
The last time we purchased a TV was in July 2005.
The TV that we purchased in July 2005 was a 32-inch Sony Wega TV.
We purchased a new TV yesterday. Our new TV has a 32-inch screen, the same screen size as our old TV. It took Bob and another strong guy to carry our old TV out of the house on Friday night.
I was able to carry our new TV all by myself.
It took longer to find a suitable TV stand to purchase than it did to purchase a TV. We saw a TV stand that we liked at Walmart, but the shelf space was too small for our electronics (sound system and DVD player). We drove to Jamestown and shopped at a furniture store, K Mart, OfficeMax, and Sam’s Club and ate lunch at Red Lobster before we found a suitable TV stand to purchase at Sears.
We went back home, after purchasing the TV stand at Sears. As soon as we returned home, Bob put together the TV stand, attached the cables to the sound system and DVD player. He then hooked up the TV to the sound system and DVD player and ran the setup program.
Bob continued configuration/setup of our new TV today. We added another electronic device to the setup–Bob’s computer, as a substitute for the web browser on the TV. The web browser on the TV is very slow (a common complaint for smart TVs).
Today, we are relaxing and enjoying our new TV.

Very nice, Linda and Bob. We are still using our HUGE Sony TV –bigscreen before big screens got smaller!!! ha…. It still works fine–but one day, I’m sure we’ll replace it with something like yours. Merry Christmas.
Hugs,
Betsy
That looks wonderful Linda. It’s amazing how much lighter these new TV’s are now compared to the old ones. Even the smallest used to weigh real heavy. I’m guessing those are your photos up on the wall? So neat that you have framed them. Just in case I don’t get back to you before, I’d also like to wish you and Bob a Merry Christmas.
