New Tenant
Before leaving for vacation we had been evicting potential tenants almost on a daily basis. Upon returning home from vacation, I checked for tenants in our picnic pavilion. I looked on the eaves and on the rafters, where potential tenants had been attempting to build nests. I didn’t see one bird’s nest. I was pleasantly surprised. As I was turning to leave the pavilion, I caught sight of a nest on top of a ladder that was propped up against the pavilion wall.
There are three eggs inside the nest.
Oh boy! Mama Robin really scolded Bob and me for being near the nest!
This afternoon I walked out to the picnic pavilion to check on our tenants.
Mama Robin was sitting on the nest.
I guess we will not be using that ladder for the foreseeable future!

Isn’t that amazing? Great shots Linda. The robin eggs are such a pretty color and I also loved the one of mama sitting on her nest. Made me smile your remarks about her fussing at you and Bob, a good little protector.
