Memorial Day Weekend: Sunday
The invite read “Bring your tractor, four wheeler, lawnmower, etc. to our annual Memorial Day tractor ride! There will also be wagon spaces available…please bring a dish to pass and BYOB for the after-party.” Our friends, Paul and Debbie, invited Bob and me to a Memorial Day weekend tractor ride. The tractor ride is an annual event, hosted by a local family. We met at the host family’s camp in Lander, PA at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 24th, and rode the back roads for about 1 1/2 hours.

Paul brought his four wheeler. Paul’s 2-year-old grandson-to-be rode up front with Paul. The four wheeler pulled a wagon.
Bob, Debbie and I rode in the wagon.

Paul and Debbie’s dog, Beezer, rode in the wagon with us.
Here are a few of my favorite photographs from the tractor ride.
We passed by at least two Amish homesteads.

After the tractor ride we enjoyed a picnic dinner at the host family’s camp.

It was Mandy’s birthday. Our friend, Debbie, made this cake for Mandy.

The birthday cake was very good.
Bob and I returned home around 5:45 pm. We had a very good time. Thanks, again, for inviting us to the tractor ride Paul and Debbie!
