Time Spent With Granddaughters
Bob and I watched Harper and June for several hours during the afternoon of July 1st. The girls were here from around 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm. Bob took off work at 1:00 pm to spend time with the girls too.
Soon after their arrival, Bob and I took the girls to a nearby playground.

Harper and June enjoyed riding in the wagon to the playground.
The girls had fun at the playground.

Harper and June went down the slide together.
In addition to having fun riding in the wagon and at the playground, the girls enjoyed riding their tricycles, blowing bubbles, and playing games on the iPad at our house. We have a “game chair” at our house. Each girl, individually, is given 20 minutes game time on the iPad. I have the Starfall app on my iPad. We pay $35.00 for an annual subscription. The girls really like the Starfall app. It is an entertainment choice that should provide them years of enjoyment.
While June was on my iPad, Harper and I checked out a children’s book from the online library that I could read on my Kindle Fire. Harper selected the book, “Dancing Feet”, by looking at the book covers.

Harper liked the elephant on the front cover. There were only two pages in the book about the elephant. It was so cute, when Harper told Bob we had to be quiet because we were in the library!

These are moments to treasure and you are! The relationship between grandparents and grandchildren is an awesome thing as you know. It can start falling apart when they become teens but the connection remains forever because of all the wonderful memories they have of you spending this time with them.
