Weekend Visit in Cuyahoga County, Ohio: First Day
Our weekend visit to Ohio was precipitated by a travelzoo.com email that I received on July 16. One of the Travel Zoo offers was for lodging and meals at The Club at Hillbrook in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. We didn’t take advantage of the travelzoo.com offer; however, photographs of the picturesque village of Chagrin Falls piqued my interest for weekend travel. After a little bit of research, I decided that the Cuyahoga Valley National Park looked interesting too. Bob and I made plans for travel to Cuyahoga County for the weekend of August 3.
We arrived at the Clarion Hotel in Beachwood, Ohio, on Friday, August 3, at approximately 4:00 PM. Choice Privileges membership has its rewards. In addition to receiving points for each stay, which when accumulated can be used for free nights at Choice Privileges hotels, some hotels give us a welcome package upon check-in.
With the exception of eating dinner at a nearby TGI Friday’s Restaurant, we spent Friday relaxing in our hotel room.
