There are a number of rivers and other waterways in the United States approaching, at or above flood stage. The Conewango Creek, which joins the Allegheny River in my hometown of Warren, PA, is one such waterway that is flooded. The flooding is more severe in Russell, a few miles north of Warren, and in the vicinity of Beaty Park in Warren.
This morning I met my friend Skye and her two boys at a local playground. It was a cool morning! Yesterday would have been a better day to meet; it was warmer. Caden and Sebastian had fun playing, while Skye and I chatted and watched the boys play. The boys held much of our attention; however, Skye and I did touch on a few topics of conversation, for example upcoming weddings, my job, and Skye’s recent departure from the work force.
