Charlee is Two Years Old
On September 26th a friend, Kristin, messaged me with a question. She would be having her daughter Charlee’s 2nd birthday party at their house on either October 20th or October 21st. Kristin asked how much I charge to take pictures and if I could or would want to come over and take pictures. The pictures Kristin wanted would be before the party started. She wanted pictures of the party decorations; the birthday cake; Charlee’s immediate family singing “Happy Birthday” to her; Charlee blowing out candles; Charlee opening gifts from her immediate family; Charlee and her older sister playing on their swing set and some family pictures.
Kristin lives a little over an hour’s drive from our home. I thanked Kristin for reaching out to me and told her that I do not charge to take pictures. My response to Kristin’s request was “no” because of the travel distance. I wrote that I wished she lived closer because I would take the pictures she wanted in a heartbeat.
Kristin said that she was going to talk to her grandparents, who live near me, to see if Charlee’s birthday party could be held there. That is what happened. Charlee’s birthday party was held at her grandparents’ house on Sunday, October 21st. The party was at 1:30 pm, and I took pictures between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.
