Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of my blog followers!

The top photograph was taken in November 2020, during our Thanksgiving week vacation in Chincoteague VA. The photograph on the left along the bottom row was taken, while on our first date, in Annapolis MD in May 1998. The bottom right photograph was taken in February, this year. Bob and I will celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary in September, this year.

Feel the Magic?

Bob and I met on the Internet on Easter Sunday 1998. During the early days of Bob and my relationship, I made a remark about what was happening between us felt magical.

After many Internet connections and several telephone calls, we wanted to meet each other in person. That meeting happened on May 1, 1998 when Bob drove from his home in Pennsylvania to where I lived in Maryland. On the day that we met in person, Bob had flowers delivered to me.

I saw a photograph today on Facebook that brought back to me the memories of Bob and my first meeting.

This beautiful photograph, which I obtained, with permission, from Open Your Heart Photography by Jessica Newman, appears magical to me. Thank you, Jessica, for bringing back the memories from the early days of Bob and my relationship.

And, yes, in case anyone is wondering I do still feel the magic!

It Was 11 Years Ago Today

Using a program called Freetel, Bob and I met on the Internet on Easter Sunday 1998. After many Internet connections and several telephone calls, we wanted to meet each other in person. That meeting happened 11 years ago on May 1st (on a Friday, same as today!), when Bob drove from his home in Pennsylvania to where I lived in Maryland. We didn’t realize at the time what the future held for us, as a couple. It didn’t take too long for us, though, to realize that there was a future for us. On September 26, 1998 we were married.
