The Beauty Around Us

I belong to a photography group on Facebook.  We conduct monthly theme photo challenges.  This month’s theme photo challenge is entitled “Tabletop”.   Group members are encouraged to submit up to two photographs that showcase their hobby.  If a group member does not have a hobby, the theme challenge is to be considered an exercise in still life photography.  This is my contribution for this month’s theme photo challenge.

I was curious about this miniature cottage and conducted an Internet search.  There is a real Swan Lavenham, which you can see for yourself by clicking here.

I have a collection of bears.  I do not collect bears.  I will repeat that.  I do NOT collect bears.  I just have more than one or two or three bears.  You know how when someone sees that you have a few of some item how that particular item multiplies? I will repeat again.  I do NOT collect bears!

Stacey asked if I wanted to hold a mini photo session with her daughters this afternoon.  I asked Stacey if she wanted to hold the photo session at her house or our house.  She wants me to come to her house.  That’s the plan for this afternoon.  Soon after Stacey asked me to photograph my grandchildren, an idea popped into my head for another photo session some other day.  I could use a tablecloth as a backdrop, tucking it into the siding framing our front door.  I could cover a beanbag chair with a blue and ivory afghan and place it on the front porch in front of the tablecloth backdrop.  I tried out my idea with my bear collection.  I repeat I do NOT collect bears!

As I was putting away my portrait subjects and the varied props, I noticed another bear.
