Our Friend’s Granddaughter Isabella

117 Days Later

I have shared the story of Isabella with you since February this year. Isabella is the granddaughter of one of my friends. Isabella was born 3 months early and weighed only 1 lb. 2.8 oz. at birth. Today, 117 days after being brought into this world, Aaron and Stefanie finally get to take their baby girl home! Isn’t God wonderful!

Update on Isabella

I have written a couple blog posts about my friend’s granddaughter, Isabella. Isabella was born on February 12, three months prematurely. She weighed 1 lb. 2.8 oz. at birth. Today, Isabella weighs 3 lb. 2.4 oz! Way to go baby girl! Keep it up and mommy and daddy will be able to bring you home!

Holding Isabella for the First Time

I wrote the other day about Isabella, my friend’s granddaughter who was born 3 months prematurely. Prayers and well wishes have been pouring in for this little baby and her parents. God has been hearing our prayers. Aaron and Stefanie held their little girl for the first time today.

This photograph of Aaron, holding his baby girl for the first time, melts my heart. I am certain that holding Isabella was like nothing Aaron and Stefanie have ever experienced – so little, so fragile, their tiny baby who they were finally able to hold in their hands.

Please continue to pray for Isabella and her parents.

Born Three Months Premature

The baby in the photograph is Isabella, a friend’s granddaughter. This picture of Isabella and her parents, Aaron and Stefanie, was taken on Valentine’s Day. I obtained this photograph from Aaron’s Facebook page. Isabella was born two days prior, on February 12. Stefanie was only 24 weeks pregnant at the time Isabella was born. At birth Isabella weighed 1 lb. 2.8 oz., and she was 11 inches long.

I’ve heard from family members that Isabella is doing well; she is a fighter. Please pray for her continued strength.

Prayers are needed, too, for Isabella’s parents.

I cannot imagine what Stefanie and Aaron are going through. It brings tears to my eyes when I realize it has been 5 days since Isabella was born and neither Aaron nor Stefanie have been able to hold their baby in their arms. Please remember this family in your prayers.
