The Audubon Community Nature Center is located in Jamestown, NY and is approximately 12 miles from my house. As you would expect, having a nature center so close to home, allows for frequent visits. There are three well-marked nature trails at the Center — the blue trail, the orange trail and the yellow trail. The blue trail is approximately 1/2 mile in length; the orange trail is about a mile in length; and the yellow trail is approximately 2 miles in length. Each trail offers pleasing views of field, forest and pond. The three-story nature center building contains a nature store, a small collection of live fish, reptiles and amphibians, and interactive displays that will interest visitors of all ages. In addition, the Audubon Center and Sanctuary cares for a non-releasable bald eagle named Liberty.
