Common Grackles
One of the first birds that found our Birdfy Bird Feeder, when we moved it from our back yard to our front yard, was the Common Grackle. In this video the Grackle is being polite.
Notice that the Grackle flies off down the driveway, after selecting a treat. Soon afterward another Grackle flies across the road onto the feeder.
We placed the seed guard back on the feeder, after going through two full feeder fulls of seed. Without the seed guard, the Grackle swishes its beak back and forth looking for specific treats. The seed is flung off the bird feeder, as the Grackle switches its beak back and forth.
Here is a collage of a few still images of the Grackle(s), since moving the bird feeder to the front yard.
I LOVE all the different faces captured!

We don’t have Grackles —but we have Starlings (which are just as bad)..

We have both! Thankfully the Starlings aren’t bothering the feeder
I love the bird expressions, too! Don’t you just want to add captions?
The individual pictures are on my Facebook page. I look forward to seeing what captions you give them! 🙂
You got some great pictures of your grackles.
They are cool and annoying at the same time, great photos!
Take care, have a great day!
What amazing close-ups, Linda, and those grackles can really be feeder hogs as we recalled from our own experience.
